Palm Springs, CA. (October 9, 2012) – Dual Electronics today announced a trade-in program for current owners of the XGPS150 and the XGPS150A Universal Bluetooth GPS Receivers, who want to step up to the new XGPS170 GPS + ADS-B Weather & Traffic Receiver. Under the terms of this trade-in program, consumers, who send back their XGPS150/XGPS150A products along with a proof of purchase of a new XGPS170 will receive a $50 trade-in check from Dual Electronics. Detailed rules and a trade-in form are available on xgps170.dualav.com.
The XGPS170 features the same high-accuracy WAAS GPS as the XGPS150/150A, and adds an ADS-B receiver for weather and traffic data. The XGPS170 works with a growing number of electronic flight bag (EFB) apps on iPad and Android tablets, and connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to two tablets simultaneously, leaving both tablets free to connect to other WiFi devices.
“Since we announced the XGPS170, our current customers have expressed high interest in the new model and this trade-in program will make it easier for them to step up,” said Greg Lukins, Vice President, Business Development, Dual Electronics. “The new XGPS170 offers the same quality performance, ease of use and convenience that pilots have come to appreciate about the XGPS150, making it an ideal upgrade for those who want to add weather and traffic reception,” added Lukins.
The new XGPS170 will be available to consumers in early November, and it will retail at $799.
