Attendees To Get First Up-Close Look At The New Airplane Design

Embraer Executive Jets will display a complete Legacy 450 cabin and cockpit for the first time at the NBAA Convention in Orlando, FL, next week. While the mockup will be at Embraer Executive Jet’s booth at the convention center, the Company’s entire portfolio of in-production business aircraft will be at the static display at Orlando Executive Airport. A public unveiling of the mockup will be held at 10 am at the company’s booth on October 30.

“NBAA is an important show for Embraer Executive Jets which is why we chose to debut the Legacy 450 mockup to emphasize its role as a revolutionary business aircraft,” said Ernest Edwards, President, Embraer Executive Jets. “The Legacy 450 is the only mid-light aircraft with fly-by-wire technology and a six-foot, stand-up cabin with a flat floor. Our participation at NBAA is designed to reflect the advances our aircraft bring to the business aviation market. The fact that this year’s NBAA is in our home state allows us not only to show off our aircraft but our Customer Center and headquarters in nearby Melbourne.”

In addition to the entry-level Phenom 100 and light Phenom 300, the large Legacy 650 and the ultra-large Lineage 1000, Embraer Executive Jets will also be showing a Pre-Flown, super-midsize Legacy 600.

WICHITA, KS – Anyone associated with business aviation is encouraged to attend the Avinode Business Intelligence press conference at this year’s NBAA convention in Orlando, FL. It will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30 in Room N 220A of the Orange County Convention Center.

Avinode will present their annual business jet market forecast for 2013, featuring up-to-the-minute analysis on traffic projections and market trends, both in the United States and abroad. The report will look at differences in activity by region, aircraft categories and time-of-year. From these snapshots of quantifiable activities, bigger pictures begin to emerge that panelists will speak to during the open forum. These will be explored in some depth.

Forecasting for industries and market trends take shape as Avinode generates forward-looking demand projections. Projections will include a look at the total global picture. The forecasts will include:

    • Year-over-year projections for business jet traffic in 2013

    • Regional market forecasts for the contiguous United States and Europe

  • Jet category traffic forecasts

“This session uses data as a springboard to develop the context and insights needed for true market-based analysis,” says Magnus Henriksson, Business Unit Director, Avinode Business Intelligence. “People typically walk away with at least a few surprises along with a better understanding of what’s happening and how that can and should affect their decisions moving forward.”

Trends include a significant movement toward economy. “People are downgrading to save money,” says Henriksson. “We see entry-level jets taking marketshare from light jets, super lights taking business from midsize jets, super-midsize taking from heavy jets. Only ultra long-range aircraft show little, if any, price sensitivity.” Another dichotomy: more growth is happening in the U.S. South and West during seasons targeted to entertainment and discretionary travel. “The more business-travel focused Northeast and Midwest continue to struggle,” says Henriksson.

A panel discussion immediately follows the press conference. It brings together charter industry leaders from across the globe to discuss key issues. David McCown, Senior Consultant, Air Partner Inc. will serve as moderator. Panelists include:

Veriar Collins-Jenkins, Director of Charter, Clay Lacy Aviation
Christine Amos, VP Charter Sales, Jet Aviation
Magnus Henriksson, Business Unit Director, Avinode Business Intelligence
Marc Drobny, SVP Charter and Vendor Services, Executive Jet Management
          Björn Näf, CEO, MetroJet
Paul Travis, Operations Manager, Acropolis Aviation
