Biography of Tori Patterson
Tori Patterson is a first-generation pilot from central Kentucky. She completed her private pilot license in high school and added on her instrument rating during her first year of college. Although she continues to fly recreationally, she found her true passion in airport management and now works full-time as an Airport Operations Specialist. A graduate of Purdue University, Tori hopes to share her passion for aviation through her articles covering fly-ins, industry insight, and personal experiences.
Tori is involved with several aviation organizations including the Ninety-Nines, Women in Aviation, The Experimental Aircraft Association, and the American Association of Airport Executives. She recognizes that she would not be where she is today without the constant support and generous scholarships provided by the Ninety-Nines, and the professional development opportunities provided by the American Association of Airport Executives.
Besides aviation, Tori has always had a passion for English and writing. Being a first generation pilot, she greatly values and respects the aviation community. Through her articles she hopes to bring interesting perspectives and information to both seasoned pilots and those who are new to aviation.
